What is Named Data Networking?

Named Data networking is new internet architecture. In today’s environment, we are only interested in the content, not where it is located. But recent IP based Internet is host oriented architecture as it was built to share hardware resources.

Advantages:

1. No need for using middle ware. As now we use middle ware for translating application-level names to IP addresses.

2. All content is signed. In today’s internet, we secure the host where the information resides and the channel through information comes.

3. No issue of address space management and shortage of IP addresses.

4. No problem with duplicate packet problem.
